I’ve been writing for a living since age 18, when I spent the summer drafting seminar evaluations at the National Endowment for the Humanities.  While practicing law I excelled at motions practice and appellate briefs.  As a Senate staffer I used demographic data, labor statistics, personal anecdotes and more to prepare speeches, memos, and op-eds on behalf of Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

I am particularly fond of translating complex material for mainstream audiences.  I’ve explained safety conditions on Capitol Hill to Congressional leadership.  If you need a statistical study summarized for lay people, I can deliver.

Every writing assignment is different, but I am versatile. I can work with Washington DC-area clients face to face, but am also happy to connect using email, Messenger, and/or telephone.  Contact me if you’d like a free consultation.
